Gyakie, an Afrobeats artist, has finally broken her silence after being chastised for ignoring Kumerican rapper Yaw Tog in a video.
The video, which is currently circulating on social media, shows Gyakie embracing Kumerican rapper Kofi Jamar in the Greenroom at the recently concluded 2021 All Africa Music (AFRIMA) Awards in Nigeria.
However, in the video, Gyakie did not make the same gesture to Yaw Tog, who was seated next to Kofi Jamar, prompting Ghanaians on social media to interpret the incident.
This episode has sparked speculation on Twitter that Yaw Tog was ignored by Gyakie, prompting many to wonder if the two have a beef.
But, in the midst of this uproar, Gyakie hinted at a probable misinterpretation of the footage being distributed in a tweet on Wednesday morning.
Using an image of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, captured in a misunderstanding, she warned harsh critics: “Half information and wrong understanding can be very poisonous.”
