‘Ghanaians are kind, bad leadership is what is making the country poor’- American lady on her first visit to Ghana
On her first visit to Ghana, an American white lady expresses her thoughts towards Ghanaians.
Barbara Abegar, a Facebook user, uses the comment portion of an article on the social media platform to express her feelings towards Ghanaians.
In a Facebook post, there was a contrast of how Ghana is portrayed in the western media vs. how Ghana is in fact, as seen in the image below.
The white lady, who claimed to be from America, expressed her views on the subject. According to her, she once visited Ghana and was greeted with enormous love and generosity by the Ghanaian people.
What she didn’t like, though, was how trash was thrown on the streets in any situation.
“I felt the lack of sanitation lead to dirty streets and bad odour… which I didn’t feel was the reflection of the people…” She added.
