Ghanaian Teenager Who Had Triplets With Her Teenage Boyfriend Receives Gifts From Benevolent NGO
Debrah Bekoe Isaac, the creator and leader of As I Grow, a non-profit organization situated in Larteh Akuapem in Ghana’s Eastern Region, has helped an 18-year-old lady tremendously.
Isaac, a teacher by profession, recounted the somewhat emotional event, indicating that the lady, Princess Nyarko from Kyebi Ahwenase in the Eastern Region, had a pair of triplets.
“The whole thing took its toll on her, and she was no longer herself after delivering the birth, which garnered the pity of locals, who informed the head of As I Grow about it.”
Debrah Bekoe Isaac and his team at As I Grow decided to surprise the new mother with a range of presents in order to put a smile on her face while also helping her livelihood.
“She has since been suffering from postpartum psychosis and the situation has made it difficult for her to take care of her babies.” She currently lives with the mum and Auntie, who are finding it difficult to financially and economically fend for the babies and the mother since the said guy who impregnated her is also a teenager in the village, “she said.”
As I Grow supplied baby diapers, wipes, baby outfits, soaps, washing powder, baby meals (Nan 1), baby napkins, baby trousers (rubber pants), baby bathing soaps, and other baby products.
The CEO of As I Grow, who can be reached at 0246319523, encourages stakeholders and the general public to assist the pair.
