At least 30 awards were announced at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), which took place at the Dome in Accra from Friday, June 25, to Saturday, June 26, 2021.
The annual musical event was separated into two halves, much like last year. On the first day of the 22nd edition, thirteen prizes were given out, with the rest being given out on the second day.
Diana Hamilton, a gospel singer, was named Artiste of the Year at the 2021 VGMAs. KiDi, Adina, Sarkodie, Medikal, and Kuami Eugene were among the nominees for the prize.
She is the first female gospel artist to win the VGMA’s highest honor in its 22-year existence.
At the 22nd edition of the ceremony, Kidi, Adina, and Kuami Eugene were among the top winners.
Kofi Kinaata made history by becoming the fourth person to win Songwriter of the Year, while Keche was named the Group of the Year.
