A police investigation has been launched into the alleged hiring of a fetish priest by a University of Ghana level 200 student to kill his 4-month-old autistic baby for a cost of GHS 800.
According to moderngahana.com, police in Berekum-Koraso, Bono Region, have taken up the case and are working hard to uncover all the facts surrounding the occurrence.
According to reports, the student who is the father of the special needs infant wanted to get rid of the boy, so he hired the fetish priest to kill him.
The fetish priest traveled to Berekum on Monday, September 5, about 7 p.m., after collecting GHS 800, to carry out the job of suffocating the four-month-old autistic infant.
The father of the child, known as Dj Poli, is claimed to be a level 200 student at the University of Ghana.
The baby’s father is alleged to have secretly buried the infant in Nsapor cemetery on Monday night after the task was finished by the Drobo-Yamiensa fetish priest.
When they learned what had transpired, some residents were outraged and went to the Berekum Divisional Police headquarters to report the matter.
