Father of Thomas Partey prays for him to win EPL title with Arsenal
Jacob Partey, the father of Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey, is confident that his son’s team, Arsenal, will win the Premier League title this year.
With only three defeats in their previous 28 matches, the Gunners are now eight points ahead of the current league champions, Manchester City, and are vying for their first league crown since 2004.
After making a lucrative transfer from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal in 2020, midfielder Thomas Partey, who has been an important contributor for the Gunners, has expressed his desire to win his first league trophy in England.
His father is just as certain that Partey and his teammates can win it all.
“Whatever you ask from God, you will definitely get it. So, I pray Arsenal wins the EPL this season because that is where my son plays. We leave everything to God because he has the final say but I believe God will grant us the trophy,” he told Angel TV
The 29-year-old player was among the squad that played Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday. On Monday, March 27, they will fly to Luanda for the second encounter.
