On Saturday 26th March 2022, the minister of education, Hon Yaw Adutwum, was joined by his family and friends in Jachie, Bosomtwe, to put to rest his beloved mother who died a few months ago.
The funeral service was a star-studded affair, complete with demonstrations of traditional culture and other significant events.
The mausoleum used to bury the education minister’s mother, madam Yaa Nkrumah, has garnered widespread interest on social media, with several people describing it as a self-contained city.
The tomb has been beautifully tiled and constructed in the style of a mansion. Beautiful pillars have been constructed and are exquisitely decorated. The tomb may conceivably be exploited as a tourist attraction.
