Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II and Dormaahene Osaagyefo Oseadeeyo Badu II have clashed over historical distortions, according to the latter.
Osaagyefo Oseadeeyo Badu II, the Dormaahene, is said to have claimed that the Otumfour acts like God, lording it over the other kings and treating them as his servants.
In response, Otumfour Osei Tutu slammed Dormahene, saying that serving on the golden stool is a privilege.
According to Otumfour, he has not made anyone his subject, but serving the golden stool is an honor.
During the first Council Meeting, he stated, “I don’t think you have any impact; those who want to be elevated to a dignified status will be given that and assisted.”
“If you are unable to fight for Asanteman, please release your seat to those who can.” You don’t deserve the seat if you can’t sacrifice like our forefathers.
“The reason the government created the new regions, especially Ahafo and Bono East, is to expand development; this does not mean that if you are under the Asante Kingdom, you have become autonomous; you still serve the Golden Stool (Sikadwa),” Otumfour raged.
“Anyone attempting to raise his or her shoulders in Bono East must do so with caution, not under my supervision.” If you say you’re a man, I’m a man too, but I prefer peace. And in 1948, my uncle lifted you up with Drobohene.
“If you say today that no one can make the other a subject, who here is making the other a servant?” “No one has made the neighbor a servant,” he stated emphatically.
“I’d like to remind those who have likely forgotten history and are speaking from ignorance that we haven’t forced anyone to serve us, and it is even an honor to serve the Golden Stool.
Agyeman Badu was a teacher, and he swore before me before ascending to the throne as the chief of Dormaa,” Otumfuo explained, adding, “It was my orchestration when Dormaa Kusi was defeated.”
In response, Dormaahene stated that Otumfour has always been speaking against him at the Manhyia Palace, but he is now in pain after responding to his shades and giving him a dose of his own medicine.
He also stated that he will never disrespect Otumfour, but he will not be afraid to stand up for the truth!
