Kwesi Aboakye of Despite Media House has responded to recent comments made by musician Shatta Wale, who launched a verbal attack against him and his colleagues, including CEO Dr Osei Kwame Despite and Fadda Dickson. The dispute arose after Aboakye disputed Shatta Wale’s claim that he was paid £80,000 for his performance at the Ghana UK Music Awards, calling the musician a liar on his show.
Aboakye stated that contrary to Shatta Wale’s claims, the artist was not paid monetarily for his performance but was instead given a first-class flight to London, high-class accommodation, and was awarded the Artiste of the Year. In response to these accusations, Shatta Wale lashed out at Aboakye, Dickson, and Despite, labelling them with derogatory terms.
In his rebuttal, Aboakye referred to Shatta Wale as intellectually deficient, adding that his desire to be part of Despite Media will not come to fruition as he is likely to get a new job soon.
