Bullion van robbery; “There are high ranking officers involved that is why the arrested cops were killed”- Kwame A-plus
Kwame A-Plus, a political activist and social commentator, has promised to release a bombshell on the back of the bullion van robberies probe that might result in a “big shakeup” in the police force.
The Ghana Police Service announced two days ago that it had made a big breakthrough in the investigation into serial bullion van robberies in Greater Accra. So far, two police officers and a number of additional people have been captured.
Constable Emmanuel Osei, who was on escort duty on a bullion truck at Adedenkpo in Jamestown in June 2021, was killed in one of these attacks.
An audio recording of an unidentified guy thought to be with the Ghana Police Service providing an account of robbery attacks on bullion vans around the country has leaked on social media.
On Tuesday, however, many people were taken aback when the Police Administration released a new statement revealing that the two police officers arrested a few days ago – Constable Reindolph Gyimah Ansah and Cpl Stephan Kwaku Nyame – had been shot dead during a raid at Borteyman near Ashaiman during which gunshots were exchanged.
However, A-Plus has stated that the deaths of the two officers were not accidental.
He said in a Facebook post that a police commissioner and some top police officers are implicated in the multiple robberies, and that as a result, they are executing the jailed cops who did their bidding to hide their tracks.
He promised to provide complete details about his assertions at the appropriate time. He used the nicknames Pablo and Jah Rule for two of the officers as a curtain-raiser.
