Bridget Otoo luckily escapes car-snatching syndicate on the Tema motorway
Bridget Otoo, a Ghanaian television journalist, escaped from vehicle theft syndicates on the Tema freeway on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
The TV journalist shared her story on Twitter, noting that the culprits, numbering three, were in a black Hyundai Elantra.
One of the suspects, she said, had disguised himself as a technician.
He revealed to the audience that if her niece hadn’t been in the car at the time, she would have been forced to give over her vehicle to the syndicates.
Bridget Otoo urged cars on the Tema motorway to exercise caution.
“I just escaped a car snatching syndicate on the motorway … It didn’t even occur to me they were trying to steal the car. Maybe my niece being in the car saved me,” part of her post read.
“Black Hyundai Elantra with 3 guys, one is dressed as a mechanic. Please be careful. Will share story later,”
Bridget Otoo’s incident adds to the amount of illicit actions that have taken place on the Tema expressway.
