TV3 star Berla Mundi is dissatisfied with the fact that key local dishes are not being left out as the cost of various products continues to rise on a daily basis.
Waakye, which consists of boiling beans and rice, is a traditional Ghanaian meal that is served alongside stew and shito. Even this has witnessed a huge spike in price across the city of Accra, with some establishments reporting an increase of one hundred percent.
After discovering some of Waakye’s new prices, Berla Mundi sent out a tweet expressing her utter disbelief.
The host of the morning show was simply incapable of wrapping her brain around the fact that a ladle of waakye is being sold for GHC 7.00 in this economy.
