A bachelor who put up a large billboard to find a wife receives over 1000 applications.
A guy named Muhammad Malik has gone viral after putting up a large billboard in London, Birmingham, and Manchester announcing that he is looking for a bride.
The 29-year-old guy from West London, United Kingdom, put up a billboard requesting that suitors spare him from an arranged marriage and also set up a website for it.
In an interview with VICE, entrepreneur Muhammad Malik revealed that the concept came from a friend who is into marketing.
He claims that since making the announcement a week ago, he has received over 1,000 applications from possible matches.
“There is absolutely no timetable,” he stated. It was a bit of a joke for me that ‘2022 is the year,’ but it doesn’t have to be. I am a firm believer in predestination, that everything is predetermined and that there is no need to worry.
I believe it is critical to develop a true relationship with someone because we want to leave a legacy.”
“It would be a bit of a cultural shock for some individuals, but for me, it would be meeting in an environment where it isn’t just us, but also family members.”
That’s the Islamic method of doing things — there’s always someone present to act as a chaperone.
That would be ideal. And, of course, I’m open to anything; it might be crazy golf or simply remaining at home.”
