“Any Ghanaian Who Doesn’t Support E-Levy Have Not Travelled Before” – Diana Asamoah
According to Evangelist Diana Asamoah, Ghanaians oppose the Akufo-Addo-led government’s disputed E-Levy idea because they do not travel.
Diana Asamoah asserts that those Ghanaians who are opposed to the E-implementation levy have never left the country. She argued that taxes had a significant impact on a country’s growth.
“If you go to Italy, the toll is automated. You will not see anyone there collecting tolls but you are compelled to pay. You pay 10 Euro on your going and the same on your return. Everything is taxed”, she said during an interview with Zion Felix.
According to her, Ghanaians should travel so that they may see how the system works in other countries.
“There are some people in Ghana who speak like that because they have never been outside of the country before. If we were to explain the objective and the need to pay the E-Levy, it would bring massive developments. Ghana would have been so beautiful,” she added.
