5 Kumawood Actors Whose Music Career Became A Disaster
There have been several instances where players in the movie industry (especially Kumawood actors) note that the movie industry is not as lucrative as fans and Ghanaians see it to be.
Most of these actors take to other businesses in securing their finances as most of them venture into their neighboring industry, that is the music industry.
however, despite a tremendous debut, most of them fail in the long run in their bid to stay relevant or even close to how they are in the movie industry. We must confess however that most of them came up with good content that resonated with Ghanaians but their best is still not enough.
1.Kwaku Manu
Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu is one of many Ghanian movie stars who ventured into the music industry but failed in the long run. His songs Wo Ye Me Taste, Wobete Kraw amongst others have not given the required prominence he had hoped for.
2. Lil Win
comic actor Kwadwo Nkansah, aka Lil Win also took a turn in venturing into the music industry after his success in the movie scenes.
Initially, he brought out hit bangers but unfortunately, he faded gradually. Some of his hits include Ladder and Mama Boss Papa,
3. Emelia Brobbey
in the late days of 2019, our very own favorite Kumawood actress Emelia Brobbey dropped a much talked about song dubbed Fa Meko and it became a trend as it was declared the ‘wackest of the year’ on social media.
Reacting to this during that time in an interview on Class FM, the singer indicated that although the trolls and insults were hurtful, it turned out to be helpful as it did all the promotion work for her.
4. Yaa Jackson
Speaking of actors who became musicians, the young Kumawood actress Yaa Jackson can never be left out.
she initially made waves with her debuts due to her use of sexual imagery in her music videos and also in her explicit lyrics. eventually, she started to bore Ghanaians and she lost her attention.
5. Tracey Boakye
Actress and entrepreneur, Tracey Boakye released her debut song Try Again ft Brother Sammy. The song has been a big flop and nobody even seem to knows she was into music.
