Cruise People Ltd Releases Statement on Arrest of Black Sherif

Cruise People Limited, the firm responsible for the arrest of the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, Black Sherif, has recently issued a statement detailing the events that led to the arrest. According to the statement, Cruise People Ltd had engaged the artist, known as Mohammed Sharif, to perform at the second edition of their highly anticipated musical cruise, Afro Cruise Jam, set to take place on August 19, 2023, in Greece.

Last year’s edition of Afro Cruise Jam featured renowned Grammy Awards winner, Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage fame, as well as the talented Abrantie Amakye Dede and his Apollo High-Kings. This year, Cruise People Ltd had agreed to pay Black Sherif a fee of Forty Thousand United States Dollars ($40,000) for his participation in the event. Furthermore, it was mutually agreed between Cruise People Ltd, the artist, and his booking agents, United Talent Agency (also known as Echo Location Talent Agency), that an initial payment of Twenty Thousand United States Dollars ($20,000) would be made to solidify the agreement.

To ensure Black Sherif’s commitment to the event, it was also agreed that he would record a video confirming his participation and availability on the agreed dates. However, despite the agreement, Black Sherif failed to fulfill his obligations, resulting in significant losses for Cruise People Ltd. In an attempt to resolve the matter, Cruise People Ltd reached out to the musician and his management on multiple occasions, but all efforts proved futile.

Disheartened by the lack of response, Cruise People Ltd took the necessary legal steps to address the situation. As early as May, their lawyers had written to the musician’s management, requesting an explanation for their actions. However, neither Black Sherif nor his management have provided any response to date. Faced with these circumstances, Cruise People Ltd felt compelled to involve the police to take appropriate actions against Black Sherif.

In conclusion, Cruise People Ltd has taken a firm stance against the actions of Black Sherif and his management. Their statement sheds light on the series of events that led to the artist’s arrest, highlighting the lack of communication and failure to honor contractual obligations. As the situation unfolds, the music industry and fans alike eagerly await further developments in this ongoing saga.
