Pythagoras Theorem, a social media activist for the ruling New Patriotic Party, has retaliated against Prof Ransford Gyampo, a political science lecturer and the General Secretary for UG UTAG, who previously described Ghanaian leaders as thieves.
According to Pythagoras, while Prof. Gyampo accuses the government of all kinds of wrongdoings, he has been sleeping with female students and giving them “violent kisses,” and when caught, he uses technicalities to get away.
Prof Gyampo wrote on Facebook that public officials who steal from the state and use technicalities to avoid justice have a problem with lecturers demanding their due.
“You steal from the country and use technicalities to get out of jail.” When teachers go on strike, however, you threaten to put them in jail. We are willing to go to jail in order to fight for better working conditions. In a social media post, he said, “Let the nation’s conscience be awakened.”
However, Pythagoras Theorem reacted quickly:
“You’ve also been chopping up students’ girls and kissing them violently, and when you’re caught on videotape, you use technicalities to get out of jail.” When you see a guy dating a girl, on the other hand, you threaten to fail or follow him.”
Prof Gyampo, who has been a vocal opponent of the government’s treatment of university lecturers, was caught on tape months ago offering to kiss his student and implying that they were dating. After an interdiction, he was acquitted by the University.
