When a Nigerian pastor dug his hands into his briefcase and gave millions of Naira to some prostitutes, the shock was written all over the faces of church members.
Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, a wealthy Nigerian pastor, was moved by the spirit to give a million Naira to each prostitute who agreed to convert to Christianity and abandon their old ways.
After preaching the gospel of salvation to these converted prostitutes, the head pastor and founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri were seen in viral videos giving hard currency to them.
A prayer was offered for the six ladies, and Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin presented each of them with one million nairas as start-up capital for their new business ventures, in order to prevent them from reverting to their previous professions.
The repentant prostitutes took turns sharing their struggles and experiences of selling their bodies for money in the video.
Some of the ladies described how they came dangerously close to losing their lives to kidnappers while searching for daily bread, while others related how God saved them from the cold touch of death through faith in him.
The congregation heard from a woman who described how a man who had booked her services enticed her with over N200,000 in cash, but she ended up in a bush tied up and sacrificed to the gods for money rituals instead.
She asserted that she was saved because she was wearing the church band around her ankle at the time of her conversion.
“It was when I got to the bush that I realized what was going on. The man carried a long knife and wanted to cut through my throat but the knife fell of repeatedly. He started calling me a witch and later ran. I managed to find my way to the road before some people helped me,” she said.
