A man is being investigated for allegedly torturing his mentally ill wife in the pretense of cleaning her.
According to the report, the Nigerian man named Abiodun got into difficulty with the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team after his neighbors filed complaints against him.
According to the news site, the event occurred on Ajigbotinu Street, Pero Bus-Stop, in the Agege region of Lagos State.
Abiodun was seen on film striking his wife, Zahidat, while attempting to make her wash her teeth.
In response to the claimed mistreatment, a social media user known as @PJ Somie stated that the mother of three children had been exposed to abuse at the hands of her husband for the past eight years.
