Afia Pokua, a well-known Ghanaian journalist, has questioned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the employment they claim to have produced.
She is not only inquiring about the whereabouts of the jobs generated but also about the people who have been employed in those so-called jobs, as the number of unemployed youth appears to be growing at an exponential rate.
These questions were raised by the broadcast journalist while speaking on Okay FM’s Egyaso Gyaso show.
”When NDC was leaving power, they said they have created jobs in their green book. When Ignatius Baffour Awuah was being vetted, he also said the government intends to create 3 million jobs. So why does the unemployment numbers keep rising when you claim to have created jobs”, she asked.
She added; ”it is high time you stop employing ghosts in your jobs you claim to have created and employ human beings. There are professionals who are there so use them and stop employing ghosts”.
Afia urged the youth to take action to enhance their lives rather than focusing on the NPP and NDC’s failed politics.
