Video: Meet The young man who dropped out of university to sell fried yam
A young man identified as Dominic Oduro, a food seller, has been selling fried yam for the past six years. After graduating from high school, he took over his mother’s business, foregoing a university degree.
Dominic, according to his mother, turned down an invitation to attend university despite having paid the tuition. Madam Akua Asare stated on SVTV Africa that he has been able to operate the firm properly for the previous six years.
“Dominic finished school five years after I established this business, but we wanted him to continue his study at the university.”
His father even paid the fees, but he did not go. He said that we were growing and needed to relax. He eventually took over the business.”
“He informed us that there are many grads who are unemployed, and he does not want to be one of them.” It’s been great. Some of his graduate school buddies come to him for loans. “He’s on his way to getting his first car from this,” Madam Akua informed DJ Nyaami.
Dominic is the second son in a family of six. He is the only provider, and he looks after his younger siblings. Nonetheless, despite being in his early twenties, he plans to create another branch in two years.
One Styk Fries may be found at East Legon, Bawaleshie. He serves fried yam with gizzard, redfish, octopus, and other ingredients.
