On Monday, March 14, morning, a man suspected of murder stormed the premises of Oyerepa FM to kill the host of the popular afternoon show, ‘Oyerepa Afuto,’ Eunice Amerley Nortey, also known as Auntie Naa.
According to an incident that occurred on the grounds of Oyerepa, a man whose identity is unknown attempted to kill the program’s host.
The man arrived at the premises and informed the security guards at the main entrance that he wanted to see Auntie Naa.
The security guard asked him to join the queue. He declined and went into Oyerepa FM’s newsroom to look for her.
The security officers who rushed to the Newsroom, however, were able to overpower him.
After a failed attempt, the suspect was taken to the police station, but officers there stated that the man (suspect) is mentally handicapped.
“I was present when the man arrived. He stated that he wished to see Auntie Naa. I motioned for him to join the queue, but he ignored me and went into the newsroom. We then charged in, stopped him, and handed him over to the cops. However, they (police) informed us that the man was mentally challenged.” Mr. Asabre, the security officer, told Oyerepa online.
