Video: Lady in tears after buying iPhone worth over ₵4,000 only to discover it’s Itel
Only a few days after we reported on a Nigerian youngster who was shortchanged when he was given an Itel phone instead of an iPhone, a Kenyan woman has been victimized by the same tactic.
According to several accounts, the lady made the transaction on Luthuli Avenue in Nairobi and paid the equivalent of 4,000 Kenyan shillings only to discover she was given an android phone instead.
After turning on the phone, she noticed it was a cheap Chinese Itel phone, despite the iPhone logo.
This comes after a young man went insane after being duped into believing he had purchased an iPhone 12.
The perplexed man sat on the floor, scrutinizing the phony iPhone 12 that ran on Android OS, in a video that has gone viral.
He was speechless, unable to believe he had lost a large sum of money in the blink of an eye to con artists in the infamous Computer Village, a suburb notorious for such deception.
A man in the background could be heard telling him that he had been warned not to buy a phone from Computer Village in Ikeja.
Meanwhile, see the video of the lady’s phony iPhone down below.
