Referee Dorcas, a popular female referee based in Takoradi, couldn’t hold back her tears as she wept uncontrollably and threatened to curse a football fan who gave her a dirty slap in the face.
“I am capable of giving birth to your kind. What’s the point of slapping me? I swear I’ll let this boy suffer from Stroke Numbness. If not, the river Tano Spirit and God do not exist. Eggs are inexpensive. I’ll get one and deal with him later “Referee Dorcas sobbed as her colleagues tried to console her.
“I would not have been in Takoradi if it hadn’t been for this match. I was summoned to assist, only for you to gang up on me and beat me because I am a female referee. ” Dorcas, the referee, was in tears.
All the while, her coworkers begged her to forgive and forget. The young man who slapped the referee was made to kneel in front of her to apologize. Referee Dorcas didn’t say anything to him as she packed her belongings and exited the stadium.
Everyone who saw the sad video condemned the young man’s actions. Some advised her to disregard the Tano spiritual curses and file a formal complaint with the Ghana Police Service.
