“Until the water bodies are clean, no curses said upon me will work”- Twene Jonas
Recently, some Bechem traditional area elders gathered at a temple to cast curses on Twene Jonas for allegedly disrespecting the Asante Kingdom’s King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
In his current outburst over Galamsey harming water sources, the social media commentator who lives in the United States and is known for attacking Ghanaian authorities descended on Ghanaian chiefs.
Some individuals, however, were offended by his remark and chose to attack him for insulting the Asantehene.
On the 24th of May 2021, some elders from the Bechem traditional area gathered at a temple to cast curses on Twene Jonas.
A video of these Bechem elders performing ceremonial sacrifices on top of the curses to put an end to Twene Jonas’ life went popular on social media.
But, in the perspective of Twene Jonas, no curse will befall him until the rivers in Ghana become colorless, as he fights for the river gods.
