Tragic News: Primary One student of T. I Ahmadiyya k!lled by a long-vehicle truck
A sad report has it a primary one school kid of the T. I Ahmadiyya School in Kumasi has been killed at Asafo in the Ashanti Region, in an accident involving a long-vehicle truck.
Princess Atsu Bema,6, was dressed in her school uniform when this tragedy unfolded. Witnesses say she was walking to a food joint after school when she got struck by the trailer.
While negotiating a hairpin curve, the vehicle with the registration number 5497-11 knocked Princess Atsu and ran over her, leaving severe damage to her head.
Residents exchanged stunned glances and as family and friends gathered at the accident scene, tears flowed – a sad moment on Asafo-Graphic Street.
According to some outraged residence, they regularly advise wholesalers to avoid unloading items from long trucks in the neighborhood in order to avoid such accidents but it’s been falling on death ears.
Ernest Okai, an Assemblymember representing the Asafo electoral constituency, stated that wholesalers have routinely disobeyed KMA instructions to cease offloading goods in the area.
The girl’s murder serves as a resounding call for prompt action to put an end to them.
