Kumawood actor Mohammed Boniface, also known as Kompany, admitted that his addiction to drugs had an effect on his passion for acting.
A few months ago, Kompany and his blind mother were left stranded after a strong rainfall caused their house in Asuofua, which is located in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region, to flood.
During an interview with Ambassador TV, Kompany elaborated on the following points: “I was so lucky to get some celebrities like Nana Ama McBrown, who was eager to help me in the industry, but I was lazy and stubborn because of my addiction to drugs.”
“I have regretted all the bad decisions I took at the peak of my career and it is all because I chose friends and drugs over my career”
“It got to a point my Godmother Nana Ama Mcbrown will call me for a movie shoot but I will not get time to go because I chose my friends and drugs over acting”, he lamented
Kompany admitted that life is not easy for him and his blind mother as they are stranded after the flooding. He also revealed that his mother “needs money for surgery”
The diminutive used the platform to apologize to McBrown for his inactions during his acting days. “I want to take this opportunity to apologize to Nana Ama Mcbrown and all the industry players to forgive me because I know my actions hurt the majority of them.”
