Time to weep and time smile: New photos of Rawlings son looking so happy at a wedding pops up
We do not sit by or remain psychologically linked to a circumstance for the rest of our lives, no matter how awful it is; instead, we make an effort to let it go and go on with our lives.
Kimathy, the only son of the late former president, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, appears to have coined this phrase.
It will be noted that the former commander, who died last year, was buried a few months ago in Accra’s new military cemetery.
And, as is human nature, the death of a loved one, especially one as close as a parent, causes anguish and unspeakable pain.
Regardless, it is reassuring to watch people who have been most impacted by the loss heal, even if only partially, and make an effort to return to regular life.
As a result, seeing Kimathy Rawlings enjoying a nice time with some of his acquaintances, maybe old classmates, was a wonderful sight.
The occasion appeared to be a wedding ceremony for one of his friends, and his mood and stance in the photograph we saw represented that of a joyful young guy.
Given all he and his family have been through in recent months, we can only be grateful to see him so joyful.
below are his photos;
