Thomas Partey, a Ghanaian midfielder for Arsenal, has successfully converted from Christianity to Islam.
The 28-year-old has now joined a lengthy list of well-known sports figures who have converted to Islam.
Partey’s conversion was revealed in an Instagram post by the Muslim Athletes page: “Thomas Partey has converted to Islam today.” Brother, barakallah.”
Meanwhile, a source close to the midfielder verified that he had converted to Islam.
“Yes, he has converted to Islam. It’s true [Partey is now a Muslim,”
In recent months, Thomas Partey has been one of Arsenal’s top players as the Gunners strive to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The Ghanaian has two goals and one assist for Mikel Arteta’s team, which is now fourth in the Premier League.
