This is the real story of Black sherif’s betrayal of his manager and alleged ungratefulness (videos)

Black Sherif, a breakout Ghanaian act, made news earlier last week when a video of him packing out of his manager’s residence went viral.

In an exclusive interview with Ameyaw TV, Kweku Kristo of Wayne Chavis Consult revealed how Black Sherif came under their control.

According to Kweku Kristo, in April 2021, his boss made contact with Black Sherif through his road manager.

“The whole journey started last year in April when Black Sherif’s road manager contacted my boss to invest in black Sherif’s craft. My boss said he had a lot of things on his plate so he wasn’t ready at the time so they should just tell him what they need and I the can be of help, he would do so from a distance,” 
.

Kweku Kristo claimed that he and his manager had sought certain logistics to help cultivate his skill.
“They requested a car and some cash.

They were given a Chevy Cruise to enable them to run their errands and make things easier. And this was outside of the contract.

Kristo goes on to say that, despite the fact that Blacko was given a car and money to help him go around, his road manager insisted on a complete management deal from them.

“They kept persisting and when he came, he came back again after the second sermon had blown and he was like, the track is doing well and we need the resources to keep up with his talent,” he explained.

After much consideration from the organization, Blacko was finally hired as a manager in August.

“The deal was pushing for someone who would manage him entirely.

We put him through some scrutiny.

Our A and R took him round, studied his sound, and came to the conclusion that we would sign him to our company.

“The deal was for 5 years. Accommodation, transport, and a change of wardrobe. Black Sherif was to give back 20% of his proceeds from streaming, concerts, etc. to the company. At a point, my boss decided to stop taking the 20% and use that money to build Black Sherif’s finances, “Kristo explains.

Black Sherif and Wayne Chavis Consult had a strong working relationship until Blacko went behind their backs to sign a 15-year contract with EMPIRE, a renowned independent label, distributor, and publisher, to release ‘Second Sermon Remix,’ one single and an EP.
