Akuapem Poloo, a Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, has been chastised for wearing a tight short outfit at the private listening session for Sefa’s new song “Vibration.”
After forsaking her Christian beliefs, Akuapem Poloo took on a new Muslim name a few years ago.
Last week, the brand influencer and socialite astonished her friends and followers by announcing her plan to convert to Islam.
During her conversion ceremony, Akuapem Poloo was photographed in full Muslim regalia, holding an ablution can and a prayer mat.
“Thank you to the Deputy National Chief Imam’s Quran Reciter and his board for assisting in this,” she captioned the photographs.
She has presented a new name in addition to her official identity to prove critics wrong.
Poloo was seen wearing a white hijab in an Instagram video, implying that her new name is Haniya, which means “happiness, joy, and laughter” in Islam.
Her conversion appears to have failed, since she wanted to remove the Jalabia and head covering.
