As a Nigerian student studying in Canada, I would like to share my experience and clear the air on the popular belief that studying abroad is a glamorous affair. Contrary to what most people think, it is far from it.

Studying abroad comes with its realities, and one of the most glaring ones is the challenges that come with it. As an international student, I have too many things to worry about all at once. From dealing with the culture shock to meeting new people and adapting to a new environment, it can be overwhelming.

Furthermore, the academic workload is also a significant challenge. Despite taking only a few courses, each course costs almost 3K dollars. This means that I have to work extra hard to ensure that I get the best grades possible and make the most of my investment.

Currently, I am in my first semester, and I can attest that the workload is very bulky. My school work demands a lot of time and effort, leaving me with little time to enjoy the experience of studying abroad.

In conclusion, studying abroad is not as fun as it seems. It comes with its realities, and as an international student, one has to deal with a lot of challenges. However, it is not all gloom and doom. With hard work and dedication, one can make the most of the experience and come out with a great education and life experience.
