Stop The Unnecessary Comparison – Celestine Donkor Heavily Slap Kwesi Aboagye

Celestine Donkor, an award-winning Ghanaian gospel artiste, has responded to Kwesi Aboagye of Peace FM regarding an award category.

Celestine Donkor, who has been nominated for three Music Awards, including “Artiste of the Year,” took to social media to respond to Kwesi Aboagye’s claim that Empress Gifty should have been nominated for the award instead of Celestine Donkor.

According to Celestine Donkor, she was listening to Peace FM’s entertainment review when the host, Kwesi Aboagye, stated that Gospel musician, Empress Gifty, deserves to be in the overall Artiste of the Year category rather than her (Celestine Donkor).

She expressed regret that the host’s preference did not make the cut, but she is willing to give Empress Gifty her spot.

Celestine Donkor went on to say that while awards are wonderful, they do not define who she is or where God is leading her.

She assured Empress Gifty, her fans, and all gospel lovers that the “rather unfortunate needles comparison” would not cause her and Empress Gifty any ill will.

Finally, the gospel artiste cautioned her fellow gospel musicians against making such comments on social media, which have the potential to cause division, cliches, isolation, and many other issues within the gospel industry.
