Controversial Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian rapper, issued a verbal attack in the form of a curse on Stonebwoy in a trending video.
On August 24, Stonebwoy joined Berla Mundi in a Twitter space debate to discuss the state of the Ghanaian music industry in light of Nigerian artist Asake’s spectacular O2 stadium event.
When asked about the demands placed on Ghanaian artists to reach the same success as their Nigerian counterparts, Stonebwoy remarked that such pressures would not solve anything until the proper structures were put in place. He remarked that more knowledge about the industry is required to ensure that it expands to the required height.
Shatta Wale disagreed, claiming that Stonebwoy felt pressured to look like them, so he dressed like Burna Boy and went out of his way to draw attention. In the video, Shatta did not hold back.
“You allow yourself $10,000 while Burna Boy receives $300,000.” Did you expect to be treated like a celebrity? You are only the curtain raiser!! “You’ll never have the same platform as Wizkid, Davido, or Burna Boy!” he snarled.
