Sister Derby, a self-described African mermaid, and her boyfriend have once again made headlines when a fresh video of them went viral on the internet.
Apparently, the singer planned a coded birthday celebration for her boyfriend, but some of the guests videotaped the entire affair, which was intended to be kept secret.
With the help of the film, it is clear that the birthday celebration was a low-budget affair, which is disappointing given Sister Derby’s portrayal of herself as a big girl and claims that her boyfriend is equally wealthy.
Sister Derby is being mocked on the internet by critics who are largely Medikal’s followers.
They argue that throwing a birthday party just because it’s the new normal isn’t a good idea if you’re short on finances and can’t make it a glamorous affair.
The lovers were cutting a very modest birthday cake, estimated to be worth less than 30 cedis, in one of the videos that arrived on our desks.
