Serwaa Amihere, the host of GhOne’s Breakfast Review show, has jokingly given former President John Dramani Mahama a nickname.
This occurred after she read a short editorial in one of the national newspapers, Daily Dispatch, about the celebration of some Ghanaian President.
Rawlings was referred to as Junior Jesus, Papa Jay, and Dr. Boom. John Agyekum Kuffour was given the names “sexy eyes” and “Gentle Giant”. Kufour was beautiful, tall, and a gentleman.
Kwame Nkrumah had nicknames like “Osagyefo” and “Showboy.” Nana Addo Danquah has inherited the moniker “Showboy.” And then there’s Addo Dee. “This name arose because they believe Nana Addo speaks flawless English,” she explained.
According to Serwaa Amihere, Mahama’s name was not included in the newspaper. She and her co-host, Papanko, attempted to guess Mahama’s nickname. “Onaapo” was the first name that came to mind. This made them laugh heartily.
“And how about Mahaani?” I’ll dial Mahama Mahaani’s number. I am confident that the next list will be published in the Daily Dispatch. But, if Mahama does not have a nickname, we have given him one.” she added.
