Selling Eggs On the Streets Pays Me Better Than My Teaching Job – Former Teacher claims
In comparison to Europe and other parts of the world, the minimum wage in Ghana and most African countries is ridiculous.
As a result, Africans must work harder to meet their basic needs. A former teacher who was fed up with his chicken change salary decided to quit and start a new business selling boiled eggs with pepper paste and onions.
Boiled eggs with pepper and onions are one of the most addictive delicacies on the Ghanaian streets. It’s mostly sold by women who are dressed casually, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a man selling it.
However, this teacher defied the odds by adding a personal touch to the sale of the delicacy.
He dresses formally as if he’s going to the office, carries the eggs on his head, and goes hawking on the streets. In a social media interview, the teacher revealed that the new venture pays more than his previous job.
