The daylight robbery at Achimota on Monday has gone viral thanks to CCTV footage.
It comes 72 hours after the nation was shaken by news of a daylight robbery. The robbery, which is the most recent in a string of robberies across the country, has alarmed the public.
When a hawker approached the victim, who had allegedly gone to the bank to withdraw money, she was parked at the Achimota overhead traffic light, waiting to turn onto the N1 and join the Lapaz road.
A motorbike with two occupants then parked in front of the automobile, followed by another with two occupants parked beside the car’s right doors.
Both bikes’ passengers, armed with firearms, dismounted and approached the vehicle.
One of them pushed in the door and walked away with the money bag.
After that, both bikers sped away with the loot.
