See the real faces of the house maids who stole Cecilia Dapaah’s $1 million and other cash – Watch Video
The identities of the housemaids who allegedly stole Cecilia Dapaah’s significant sum of money have been unveiled to the public for the first time.
Patience Botwe, 18, and Sarah Agyei, 30, made an appearance in court today, accompanied by their boyfriends and families. Despite their attempts to conceal their faces, photographers managed to capture their images during the court proceedings.
This incident gained attention a month ago when Cecilia Dapaah, a former sanitation minister, accused her house help of stealing $1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghana cedis. It was revealed that Patience Botwe had used some of the stolen money to purchase a house and other expensive items.
Reports also claimed that Sarah Agyei had given her boyfriend and father significant amounts of money. The two maids remained silent until now, when Patience admitted in an audio recording that she had indeed used her former employer’s money to buy a house.
Sarah explained that she had gone to Cecilia Dapaah’s house with her boyfriend to apologize, but instead, she was subjected to physical abuse.
Sarah revealed that Cecilia Dapaah poured boiling water and pepper on her and used a traditional Ghanaian dish called ‘banku ta’ to strike her.
She also disclosed that she was one week pregnant at the time, which added to her fear for her own life and that of her unborn child.
