Kuami Eugene has disclosed that his competitors for the artist of the year award in the 2020 VGMA especially Sarkodie and Diana Hamilton have not called him to congratulate him.
The ‘Angela’ hitmaker was fast to add that only his colleague highlife artiste Kofi Kinaata and Medikal – among the competitors in the category – has called to congratulate him as he expressed disappointment in Sarkodie and Diana Hamilton.
“I have not heard from Sark, and not from Diana Hamilton, but Kofi Kinaata called me. Keche, Medikal, and others also called,” Eugene told MzGee via Zoom on TV3 New Day.
It has become a norm for competitors of a category to call the ultimate winner after an award show, and so, Kuami Eugene was expecting to hear from his senior colleague, but that has not happened to date.
