A young Ghanaian guy living in the United States, who recently lost his wife to suicide, has sparked a lot of discussion and emotions online after taking his own life in a very publicized manner.
Nana Edd, who is thought to have hailed from the Ashanti region, made a post from his headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, March 11, 2022, at exactly 2:24pm, declaring his plan to ‘leave’ this world and join his late wife.
“Guys!!! I’m checking out today, I love you all. I will see all the love ones someday… the love is deep.. .. my wife is waiting. I’m happy to reunite.,” the post read.
Following this, a number of individuals on social media began sending him mixed condolence messages, since it turned out he committed suicide shortly after receiving the message.
In addition, many online users began questioning why he committed suicide.
He had lately lost his wife, for reasons that are still unknown.
“Please help bring my dear wife home and also my son. I have lost the love of my life. May God help me stay strong because I don’t know how I’m going to live this life alone with my son. RIP my dear wife. You will always be my true love and no one can replace that. I love you!! ,” Nana Edd wrote on February 18.
What is known for a fact is that a GoFundMe account was set up in an attempt to bring his late wife and their son back ‘home.’
While the exact location of her death is unknown, the GoFundMe account indicated that they hoped to be able to bring her body from the United States for burial.
