A young lady who was apparently proclaimed dead by medics and then resurrected a few moments before her burial died minutes later, causing controversy.
The victim, who was a cosmetics artist and was identified as Zuweira, was reportedly confirmed dead by doctors at the Ridge Hospital on Thursday, March 24.
According to Ghanaweb, Zuweira was pronounced dead by doctors and was prepared for burial in accordance with Muslim rituals.
In a video posted online, her aunt Rabu verified that Zuweira was pronounced dead by doctors and was prepared for burial in accordance with Muslim customs.
She said that the cemetery authorities had made all the necessary arrangements for her burial and prayers, only for the physicians to pronounce Zuweira “resurrected.”
An aunt of the Zuweira took to Facebook to announce that she had died shortly after ‘coming back to life.’
“Thank you all for your prayers for my Niece,” Rabi Dan-Alpha Sharubutu said. She is, however, no longer with us now. God is the most knowledgeable.
“May she rest in peace,” she expressed her condolences. Several people have expressed their disbelief at the tales while sympathizing with the family.
