Constable General Emmanuel Osei’s mother has expressed her heartfelt grief at her son’s death while safeguarding money in a bullion truck in Ghana.

On Monday, June 14, unknown armed robbers shot and murdered Emmanuel Osei, 25, while transferring money in a bullion truck in Adedenkpo, a neighborhood of James Town in Accra.

When reporters visited the family home, Constable General Osei’s mother sobbed loudly as she lamented her son’s horrible murder.

There is no such thing as a society without crime; we are not in heaven, says the IGP.

“I have been through a lot, and just as my son got a job to take care of me, he was killed.” ‘Look at my end,’ she said, her eyes welling up with tears.

James Oppong-Boanuh, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), was to the family home of Constable General Osei, along with several police officers, to express condolences to the deceased family.

The police chief told the family that the perpetrators of the heinous act would be apprehended and prosecuted.

At the time of the IGP’s visit, dozens of mourners, sympathizers, and family members were dressed in black and crimson at the deceased’s family home to grieve his untimely demise.

Meanwhile, the IGP has met with a number of financial partners to discuss the recent murder of a police officer entrusted with escorting a truck containing cash.
