Sad: KNUST student murdered by his friend over Ghs 300 debt (details)
The sad murder of a male undergraduate student by a friend was reported today in Kumasi, Ghana’s Ashanti region.
The victim of this brutal murder, according to the Voice of KNUST on Instagram, is a second-year student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
The alleged killer has been identified as Emmanuel Boateng, a tailor trainee in Kumasi.
A 25-year-old biological sciences student who owed Emmanuel Boateng 300 cedis was the victim of this unusual occurrence.
Emmanuel Boateng enticed the deceased to a spot in the hopes of collecting the 300 cedis debt.
Emmanuel Boateng, the suspect, has admitted to the crime and is currently being held by the regional police command.
The victim was a friend of the suspect, according to information provided by KNUST’s statement through the police.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command’s public relations officer, DSP Godwin Ahianyo, verified that the suspect killed his companion.
Emmanuel was successful in luring the dead to an unknown location and assassinating him for a debt of 300 cedis.
