According to several accounts, Obaa Yaa Asnatewaa, who is the widow of Pastor Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, has allegedly been prevented from participating in the rites associated with widowhood.
According to reports, officials from the Resurrection Power New Generation Ministry have deemed Obaa Yaa Asnatewaa ineligible to participate in widowhood rites or show sadness over her late husband.
This comes after it was reported that she skipped a family meeting with the Ankobiahene of Otumfour Osei Tutu to discuss plans for the funeral rites of Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye.
According to the reports, the community is pleased with the current development, which will prevent Obaa Yaa Asantewaa from participating in the widowhood ceremonies.
She is not permitted to grieve in any way for her spouse in her role as a wife.
