Social media users are looking for a man who was caught on camera assaulting a preacher on the street.
In the viral video, a man approaches the preacher abruptly, grabs his hand, and twists it in an effort to seize the microphone.
The man slapped the pastor after he refused to hand over the microphone.
After his stint at “Kyiri Abosom,” he could be heard asking the pastor why he was there preaching the word of God.
The pastor remained silent, but he was still adamant about keeping the microphone. The attacker slapped him several times and grabbed the microphone from the preacher.
Despite having the microphone, the man continued to assault the pastor. A colleague of the preacher who was present immediately came to his aid.
Many people are outraged by the video and have promised to have the man arrested for assault.
Others were perplexed as to why observers who could be heard saying “oh” did not intervene to stop the assault.
“Sometimes we, the observers, act strangely and inhumanely. “See people standing there watching the beatings the guy is receiving without rushing to his aid,” one Instagram user wrote.
“Arresting him for the violence, yes, he needs to be dealt with legally…
“However, it’s past time for Christians to realize that you can’t simply insult other belief systems because of what you believe,” another added.
Meanwhile, gospel singer Celestine Donkor has vowed not to rest until the man in question is apprehended.
According to her, the assaulter must be arrested because he made a bad gesture.
