A woman named Barbara Fati Hayford has been caught scamming people on social media, particularly on Snapchat. She pretended to be a seller who imported clothes, bags, shoes, and other items from abroad. Vendors who sold such things would reach out to her to buy from them. However, she would take money from clients and never give them the things they ordered.
One victim sent her almost GH¢ 10,000 and never received the clothes she ordered from her in November 2022. She called Barbara Fati Hayford out on social media to refund her money. After this, other people who had allegedly been scammed by her also publicly called her out.
Barbara Fati Hayford was arrested by the Legon Police. The woman who got her arrested took to Snapchat to disclose that anyone who has been scammed by her should contact her. She shared a videos of Barbara Fati Hayford when she was arrested.
