Police Officer storm school with his squad to harass teachers for disciplining his daughter.
A police officer who could not understand why his daughter was being disciplined at school got himself in trouble for assaulting the teacher and others in connection with the incident.
As a result, the Ekiti police command has launched an investigation into five of its staff allegedly harassing the principal and teachers of Mary Immaculate Girls’ Grammar School in Ado-Ekiti LGA of the state.
Agenoise Elijah, the cop, is said to have stormed the school on Friday with his colleagues to express his displeasure with the school authorities for reprimanding his daughter.
According to Instablog9ja, the daughter was allegedly seen at school with a hairstyle that differed from the one recommended by the authorities.
The officers reportedly insulted the principal, ripped a female tutor’s dress, and took another teacher’s phone. Sunday Abutu, the Ekiti command’s public relations officer, confirmed the incident to NAN, promising that the accused officers “shall not be spared if found guilty.”
“They were said to have harassed the teachers because his daughter, a student, was questioned about her hairstyle, which was not in accordance with the school’s directive.
The police sergeant and his colleagues who went to the school to cause mayhem have been named, and a covert investigation has begun as ordered by the chief of police, with the officers not being spared if found guilty.
He added that the command is working closely with the state ministry of education to ensure that no stone is left unturned in the investigation.
