Police arrest 2 suspects in the killing of #fixthecountry activist Kaaka
Two suspects have been apprehended by the Ashanti Regional Police Command in the assassination and murder of Ibrahim Mohammed alias ‘Kaaka,’ a 45-year-old inhabitant of Dagombaline, a suburb of Ejura in the Ashanti Region.
Ibrahim Issaka, alias ‘Anyaas’, and Fuseini Alhassan are the accused who are currently in police custody. Following police intelligence, both were apprehended around 10:45 p.m. on Monday, June 28th, 2021.
According to eyewitness sources, the deceased was ambushed in front of his home on his motorcycle around 1:30 a.m. on June 27, 2021.
He was transported to the Ejura Government Hospital and afterwards transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he died on June 28, 2021, at 12 p.m.
The police inquiry will also look into rumors that the deceased was a journalist and a member of the Fix the Country movement to see if the murder had anything to do with his job or the movement.
