The Federal University of Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has been rattled by a terrible occurrence in which a 100-level student named Atanda Modupe Deborah was discovered dead two days after she went missing.

Deborah, a Nursing Department, Stream A, Faculty of Basic Medical Science student, went missing on the night of September 4, 2023, after she had traveled to her class for a study session.

Deborah’s departure alarmed her housemates, who were concerned when she did not return after her late-night study session.

The frightened housemates declared her missing, triggering a frenzied hunt for the young girl throughout the university community.

Deborah’s deceased body was discovered on September 6, buried in a shallow grave behind her faculty.

Her eyes had been viciously torn out, adding a darker depth to this horrible occurrence.

On Wednesday evening, the Registrar of the University, Mufutau Ibrahim, made a statement in reaction to this profoundly disturbing circumstance.

The Registrar issued a statement ordering all students to leave the university campuses. In light of this tragic tragedy, this evacuation is most likely intended to guarantee the safety and security of the pupils.

The university administration also revealed that armed security personnel had been quickly deployed on campus for patrol, surveillance, and security operations.
